May Reading Ladder – 2019

I’ve been trying to start reading books that are like 30-1 and all that, anything that would be good for the exam. I mostly succeeded so I’m happy for that but I want to read like a lot more books like that, books like A Thousand Splendid Suns and Fahrenheit 451. There are a lot of books like that, but I always want to read something fun, I’m just trying to find a middle ground between the two now.

I absolutely loved this book. I didn’t think I would because at the beginning I was so mad at the absolutely terrible things that were happening to Mariam and I put the book down a bit but had to come back to it because of English class, so I read through the rest and the story was so captivating and absolutely amazing I was sad and happy and relived at the end and I loved everything about this book. There were so many great quotes and everything was okay in the end.

Tittle: Fahrenheit 451

Author: Ray Bradbury

Pages: 158

Rating: ★★★★★ (the absolute best)

https://www.amazon.com/Fahrenheit-451-Ray-Bradbury/dp/1451673310I loved this book as well. I mean the whole thing was absolutely captivating, I understood and sympathized with everything that Montag does in the book, the words and how he told things was the greatest thing in the world. The dialog between characters could really show exactly what was trying to be conveyed and the way he did things was beautiful. I loved the ending, I felt it was the best thing ever and I loved the way the entire society was built, i could see the parallels between our society and this society, it was great.

Tittle: The Sword of Shannara

Author: Terry Brooks

Pages: 726

Rating: ★★★★ (Pritty Good)

https://www.amazon.com/Sword-Shannara-Terry-Brooks/dp/0345314255I loved the fantasy in this, it was an easy read though it got really boring at times and put it down just to have a bit of a break. The amount of things that happen in this book and the whole journey is very large, everyone has a place and piece to play and everything is big, this entire world is something else entirely.

Math

384 + 158 + 726 + 318 = 1586/4 = 396.5

384 + 158 + 726 + 318 = 1586/44 (+ June days) = 36.045
